It has been one month since I published Don’t Let Chacha Die. Here’s a brief update.

It’s hard to believe that it’s been a month already since I published Don’t Let Chacha Die. It’s for sure been an emotional journey, and I’ve been so grateful to everyone who’s been supporting me and taking a chance on my book. I was literally teary-eyed from happiness to get such awesome reviews on Net Galley and Amazon. I know it’s going to be a while of trying this and that before DLCD gets traction, but I’m far from discouraged.

Don’t Let Chacha Die was the third complete book I’ve ever written, and my novel writing has improved from book to book. So I knew my first book (So I Trusted Patrick), had some problems I needed fix. But the other day, when I sat down and analyzed it, I realized my writing style has changed/improved, so I’m going to have to rewrite it entirely again. (I can’t count how many times I’ve rewritten it, lol). I’m so sorry beta editors for making you read so many previous versions! Please forgive me! But I’m hoping to get that done in the spring and my publication prep done in the spring/summer. I aiming to get So I Trusted Patrick published as soon as possible, so you folks don’t have to wait too long.

I reduced the price of my kindle and kobo ebook from 9.99 to 4.99 (CAD) (3.99 USD) for a limited time to see if it makes a difference in sales.

Also, If you like to review books, or you know of someone who likes to review books, Don’t Let Chacha Die is listed on Net Galley (click here to check it out). If you register as a reviewer, you can get the ebook for free. It’s set to Read Now, which means you don’t need my approval to read it.

Also, I’m in the middle of a Goodreads Giveaway, where anyone who enters the contest has a chance of winning a free Don’t Let Chacha Die kindle ebook. It’s only available for people who live in the US. If you’re interested, click here.

I’ve written a reflection on the process of crafting fictional genders in Don’t Let Chacha Die, so if you’ve read DLCD, and you are interested in the thought process behind its creation, click here to read the article.
